Convert PDF to Word Document - Free, Do it Yourself Step by Step Guide Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/1460032

By Sharma SpThis step by step article explains How to convert .pdf files to .doc files without downloading any software or online sites which requires registration and you only end up converting 2 pages. After all the frustrations with downloading trial versions of software and too many registrations on online sites, I realized that all you need is MS Office suite.
The following is the security setting of the PDF which restricts content copy used for the purpose of this article.
Document Restrictions Summary (can be seen by going to Document>Security>Show Security Properties)
  • Printing: Allowed
  • Document Assembly: Not Allowed
  • Content Copying: Not Allowed
  • Content Copying for Accessibility: Allowed
  • Page Extraction: Allowed
  • Commenting: Not Allowed
  • Filling of form fields: Not Allowed
  • Signing: Not Allowed
  • Creation of Template Pages: Not Allowed
1. Open the PDF document, go to File>Print and select "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" and press ok.
2. In the Save As dialog enter the file name (retain .mdi extension) and the type should be "Microsoft Document Imaging Format (*.mdi)" and press save.
3. Now open the .mdi file with "Microsoft Office Document Imaging" application.
4. Select individual page and press Ctrl+ A (Copies the page content) and right click and select "Sent to Word" option.
5. Select OK on the prompt. (You must re-run OCR before performing this operation. This may take a while.)
6. Now the content opens in an MS-Word and you can save it as .doc.
Note: In step 4 only one page can be selected at a time. So this method is suitable for only small PDF documents.
